I have a BS in Management.want to be a CPA?

small business management
thomasau7 asked:

I’m graduating this year with a BS in Management with a concentration in small business management. As my undergrad career is nearing it’s end I’m realizing that I should’ve majored in accounting. I want to be a CPA and I’m aware of most of the requirements (150 semester hours and work experience…). I could get an associates in accounting in one year. Would this be beneficial coupled with my BS degree? Or do I REALLY need a degree in accounting and nothing else? Would any accounting firms give me a look with a BS in Management and an AS in Accounting or would I be locked into bookkeeping?

De staten zoals Californië geven niet meer de vergunningen van de accountant aan mensen zonder Master' uit; s graden.
