Customer Acquisition
Acquisition programs must begin with customer insight.

From that insight, and depending on back-end / retention tracking, you will build a picture of the the customer profile that gives you the best Lifetime Value.

Those are the clients that you ideally want to aim at in your front-end acquisition campaigns.

Your A segments are those that represent traits or characteristiscs which result in high frequencey of purchase, project management, high dollar volume transactions, and high liklihood of fuure profitability through up-selling, repeat selling, and cross-selling. More at leadership skills,

Once you have completed customer profile matrices, you are able to accurately organize your marketing programs for acquisition, and later, retention.

Positioning for Acquisition
Your company’s value proposition should not reflect what you want your businse to be per se, but what solid customer research tell syou your customers want your business to be for them. A direct reflection of yoru customers needs and wants.

Positioning is what you do to the mind of the customers, not the product.

List all the variables you can think of that influence purchase decisions and brand loyalty.
Then prioritize this list according to the Customer - Offer Matrix for the specific acquisition program you are working on.
what types of rewards or recognistion are most likely to appeal?
What physical need does your product fill?
What emotional needs does your product fill? More at management consulting,
What social need does your product fill?
What are the pimrary decision factors assocaited with your brand?
What lifestyle issues affect consumer attitudes
What market adaptation sequence applies to each customer group?
Remove The Risk For Acquisitionbusiness management,
Then create as low barrier to entry as you can. For acquisition programs, especially with high involvement or high risk purchases, you must work hard to prove that your company, product, spokesperson - is credible and trustworthy.

How much ’selling’ is required depends a great deal on the level of involvement associated strategic business planning, with the purchase decision.

High involvement - Car, home, enterprise software
Low involvement - Snacks, movie tickets, etc.
High risk - financial loss, safety, value,
Low risk - few, if any, sacrifices.

Your prospects beliefs, frustration and desires must be considered when creating your marketing funnel.

Don’t try to sell something until you know how to emotionally involve the prospect.
Don’t have copy written until you have identified the objective of this piece of copy in moving the prospect one step closer to being involved with your product by exchanging their time and money for the benefits of what your product offers.
Don’t make the mistake of trying to entertain your prospects with fancy graphic work, cute slogans, or humurous adverts.
Key Question to ask: What are the inherent emotions involved between what your product does, and what your prospect is experiencing in their life that makes them a suitable candidate for your product?

Then make the first step easy for the prospect.

If you are marketing online, your costs are cheaper, and you can create a multi-step sales process that has a higher overall conversion rate, than trying a 1-step sales process that makes your offer immediately, and loses the prospect if they don’t immediately buy.More at small business resources,

Online marketing may have developed a sudden surge these past few years, but many in the know how have felt its rise even from way then. As more internet based businesses are put up, the need to develop new marketing skills and knowledge based on this new medium have arisen. More and more marketing strategies leadership skills, are being discovered and developed to cope with the changing face of business the business world.

The demand for online marketing tips and strategies have drastically grown and a new form of business has been born, internet marketing strategies. While there are companies that are all too eager to help your site and business build a clientele for a fee, there also many ways that can spread the word about your sites subsistence in a more cost free way. One of this is Opt-in email marketing, also known as permission marketing.

Opt-in marketing requires the permission of a willing customer to subscribe to your marketing materials, materials that take form in newsletters, catalogs and promotional mailings via e-mail. The more opt-in marketing mail is sent, the more chances there is to bag sales and more sales. To do this, you must build a list of all those who wants to subscribe to your opt-in marketing list. More at ability to influence,

From your list, you will get your targeted customer, this is a good list since they already have shown interest in what you have to show and sell since they have willingly signed in for your list. These are the people who have liked what they have seen in your site and have decided they want to see more and maybe even purchase what ever product or service your company and site has to offer.

Many people would think that building their lists would take hard work and a lot of time to build and collect names and addresses. This is not so, it takes a bit of patience and some strategies but in doing this list, you open your site and your business to a whole new world of target market. Take the effort to take your business to a new level, if traffic increase and good profits are what you want, an opt-in list will do wonders for your business venture.

There are many sources and articles in the internet available for everyone to read and follow in building a list. Sometimes they may be confusing because there are so many and there different ways. get organized techniques, Different groups of people would have different approaches in building an opt-in list, but no matter how diverse many methods are, there are always some crucial things to do to build your list. Here are four of them.

1) Put up a good web form in your site that immediately follows the end of your content. While some may say this is too soon to subscribe for a website visitors application, try to remember that your homepage should provide a quick good impression. If somehow a website visitor finds something that he or she doesn?t like and turns them off, they may just forget about signing up.

A good web form for subscribing to an opt-in list is not hard to do. Just write a simple short statement about how they would like to see more and get updated about the site. Then there should be an area where they could put in their names and e-mail address. This web form will automatically save and send you the data?s inputted. As more people sign in, your list will be growing. More at how to get organized,

2) As mentioned in the first tip, make your homepage very, very impressive. You need to have well written articles and descriptions of your site. Depending on what your site is all about, you need to capture your website visitor’s fancy. Make your site useful and very easy to use. Do not expect everyone to be tech savvy. Invest in having good programming in your site, make your graphics beautiful but don’t over do it.

Don’t waste your time making the homepage too overly large megabyte wise. Not all people have dedicated T1 connections, the faster your site gets loaded, the better. Go for a look that borders between simplicity and sophisticated knowledge.

3) Provide good service and products. A return customer is more likely to bring in more business. Even then and now, a satisfied customer will recommend a business always. Word of mouth and recommendations alone can rake in more business than an expensive ad. As your clientele roster grows so shall your list. With more members on the list, the more people will get to know about what you have new to offer.

4) Keep a clean and private list. Never lose the trust your customers have entrusted you. small business help, If you provide e-mails to others and they get spammed, many will probably unsubscribe to you. Remember, a good reputation will drive in more traffic and subscribers as well as strengthen the loyalty of your customers. More at small business management,

Taking Small Business Marketing & Small Business Internet Marketing Into Consideration

February 25th, 2009

I am sure most of you have heard the phrase, or term, business marketing strategy. And I am sure some of you wonder what this business consulting is all about. How does it make money?
How does one become a business consultant? Perhaps you even see some of these business consultants in your office and secretly ask what these people are doing in your boss’ office or over the phone so often. And when someone tells you that they are there to advise your boss, you ask yourself why does your boss need advising? Isn’t he supposed to know what he should be doing? After all, he’s the boss and he is paid very high to do his job. So to stop you from guessing and demystify the business of consulting, here is business consulting-defined. Business consulting is the practice of advising the executives of an organization on how to improve the officers’, as well as the business’, performance in certain fields or areas. Business consultants are hired temporarily to analyze the problems and dilemmas of the business and then develop a business marketing plan to solve the problems, or improve the weak areas of the organization.

They can guide the organization’s improvement and progress through a step by step process, guiding them all the way. However, the extent of their involvement still depends on the client organization’s decision on how deep they want the business consulting firm to get involved in their management. Now, why does an organization need outside consultancy?
Are the top executives not capable enough to solve the problem? Organizations avail the services of these so-called small business internet marketing firms for different reasons and depending on the need of the company. Some hire external consultants to have a fresh mind from the outside, giving more objective analysis of the problem. It might be that the company’s executives have already been too involved in the problem that they might already be taking it personally. Hence, their judgment is already clouded with personal feelings. Others hire the start business consulting experts for their specialized expertise on a particular new area, with which the company is not yet familiar.

Most common service that business strategy consultant firm are hire for is the business development service, which is usually on a per project basis, where hiring a permanent employee for the task would be unnecessary and expensive. In this case, business consultants are hired for a particular period of time depending on the length and depth of the project. Sometimes, they are retained during the first few months of the project until such a time the officers can manage on their own. Or sometimes, they are retained for the whole duration of the project, up until its completion. Another common service business consulting firms is known for is management coaching for the organization’s executives, wherein consultants conduct a one on one training to a particular officer and guide him to the successful management of business. The consultant here is usually duty on-call for whatever advising need that may rise anytime. Consultants may also provide assistance in the area of change management for the organization’s employees, who are about to go through major changes and development within their work place. Today, business consulting has become one big industry, as it becomes popular with more and more organizations recognizing the importance of an objective analysis and focused expertise from outside the company.

I’m searching for a hosted mail/site and contnet management solution for a small business.
They currently have an email and web space account on a shared domain.
Now they’re ready to get their own domain name and add something to self-manage the content.

They currently use NetIdentity but have found them nearly impossible to reach to answer questions. Does anyone know of any competitive services offering these features?

- Hosted web mail account (can be forwarded) no IMAP pr POP3 access needed

- Own domain name
- Web space

- An easy online content manager (WYSIWYG preferred)

- Reasonably priced

- Customer service that answers in a timely manner

Thanks
Thanks but can you give me some keyword combinations to google with to find these types of hosts with deeper levels of service?
I’m really looking for more than a domain host. I’m looking for a real small business host/content solution. I’m not sure I’m using the right terms. My results appear to be too broad. Loaded software (Dreamweaver) is not an option ($800+ a learning curve and cannot make changes on the road.)

Small Business Credit Card

December 11th, 2008
small business management
It has only been recently that the larger credit card companies began aggressively marketing small business credit cards. If you are a new entrepreneur and have decided it’s time to get a small business credit card, you are in luck!

Most new businesses are sole proprietorships and credit is an important part of growing your business. The credit card issuers look at your personal credit history to see how you’ve managed your personal debt. A good personal credit report can prove that you take your obligations seriously.

As with any credit decision, you need to review what your requirements are before you apply for a small business credit card. The financial institutions are offering numerous incentives for your loyalty such as rewards, cash back, airline miles, high credit limit, and an option to pay over time or in full.

A small business credit card can assist with your cash flow. If you purchase supplies to do a job and bill the client upon completion, a small business credit card allows you that needed extension of time. You should keep this in mind and perhaps apply for a higher limit credit card. Consider the invoicing cycle. If you think it may run over thirty days, you would want to apply for a card that offers the option to pay over time. Look at a lower interest rate small business credit card.

If you have been in business for at least two years and just want to add to your cash flow. The Small Business Capital Line offered by American Express may be what your looking for. This offer includes an unsecured line of credit with a minimum of $10,000. Their easy application process doesn’t require any supporting forms for most applications and gives you 100% access to your cash. This offer includes a competitive APR.

If your new commercial endeavor includes travel, a small business credit card with rewards that offers savings for airline miles, hotel and car rental would be ideal. An added advantage is you can keep track, remotely, of an employee‘s expenses through online viewing of your account. This is a big plus when on a tight budget!

The SkyPoints Business Credit Card from Delta and American Express, lets you earn double SkyPoints for everyday purchases and Delta purchases too. You can receive up to 75% discount on airfare when you redeem your SkyPoints. There is a small yearly fee for this program, but the first year fee is waived, offering an immediate savings of $49.

Credit card companies have formed alliances with a number of retailers, both online and off line. Some rewards perks are discounts when using your small business credit card at specified locations.

The Chase Platinum Business Card offers additional savings through their Visa Business partner Advantage. Receive savings of up to 20% from leading retailers with special offers on computer equipment, office supplies, and many other items.

Choosing a small business credit card is made easier by the internet where you can compare offers side by side. Each of the small business credit card programs offer extra value. It’s your choice which program fits with your financial needs.

Business Credit Cards: Why Every Small Business Needs Them

December 10th, 2008
small business management
The potential benefits and advantages of using credit cards for any small business are too significant and probably too numerous to be easily ignored.

Business credit cards are in fact an excellent tool for managing small business expenses. At first this may seem to be a strange statement in view of the well known fact that it is much easier for spending to spiral out of control when using plastic than when somebody is paying hard cash. Indeed this is one of the key factors in human nature that has helped make the credit card business so successful and prosperous. However the truth of the matter is that impulse spending or reckless expenditure is usually very unlikely in business spending. If anything most small businesses have to count their pennies carefully to survive. So the downside of plastic money or credit cards does not come in play at all.

Purchases Are A Critical Area For Small Business - Credit Cards Can Help

Spending and purchasing is an important part of any business big or small. In fact expenditure and purchases usually have such a major impact on the bottom line that the general financial performance of a business depends on it being run properly. To start with timely information is so important that it has often meant the death or survival of many a small business. It is often important to know where the money is going so that problems can be detected early and action and decisions taken in a timely fashion to avert more serious financial problems for a small business.

This is exactly where one of the key advantages of credit cards for small businesses comes into play. The magic here is in the expense reporting that comes in the form of detailed and itemized monthly statements. Analysis is further made even easier with the inclusion of category breakdowns.

So, if for instance expenses are running overboard in a certain area and which will definitely have an impact on profits, then it can be seen early and dealt with. Quite often runaway costs or expenditure are the symptom and not the disease, so the small business manager gets a chance to identify the “disease” early and deal with it accordingly.

Business Credit Card Reporting System Ideal For Small Business Owner

Anybody with some small business experience will deeply appreciate this advantage because the reality on the ground is that the principal decision maker or decision makers in a small business will usually tend to be very busy and involved in dozens of different critical activities in the business that identifying potential problems is never an easy thing. But with business credit cards and their detailed reporting system through statements, the ball game changes dramatically to the advantage of the small business owner.

What makes things even easier and more convenient is the fact that most business credit card issuers provide statements that are available online and can be downloaded and merged with some popular small business accounting software. This saves on valuable time for the often-understaffed small business operation. In fact with this online option, daily monitoring is made possible.

The result of all this is that just by obtaining a business credit card, a small business turns its’ accounts department into a paperless but extremely efficient reporting unit that is actually run by somebody else who end up footing most of the overhead costs that go with it.

When you add other advantages that go with business credit cards like cash back rewards and frequent flyer airline miles, then the importance of every small business using business credit cards becomes obvious.
